Refused me treatment because of a phone call I never received. Marsha ( receptionist) then told me that I should be seeing someone at another hospital at another location (when I made efforts to repeatedly attempt to phone through to surgeons on and number of occasions, no voicemail or attempts to call me were made by the department (strangely) for a.call I NEVER RECIEVED!) She was condescending and tried to talk over me. Left me very upset as I was being punished for not answering a call I NEVER RECIEVED! That I waited by my phone for three hours for and tried to call the department but “line busy” … Also as I’ve been in pain for three years.
I was first told I was refused because of location, then it was that I had spoken badly to Marsha (my partner was beside me and I was not offensive but did become upset and reactive to her tone and approach to me)…
Finally when my partner wrote a complaint on twitter, I was told by a representative of where he has “privilege to work out of” that it was because of that tweet that the doctor refused me treatment. When I asked if I could be transferred to another surgeon at the hospital, I was told that because of the staff working in that department, they would not be able to deal with booking me in with a different surgeon and I would need to seek medical help somewhere else (again my partner is witness to all of the events and I have no reason to lie as my health is in chronic pain)…
However he had already refused me treatment and the staff refused to rebook me,.when my partner spoke to them which was called BEFORE the post had been tweeted…

They lied, they have put me to the back of a waiting list for an operation, and potentially risked my health for their ego and for staff being unable to deal with the concequences of speaking rudely to a sick patient. Their ethics and morals are dangerous… And my punishment is for my partner’s right to freedom of speech and opinion…

Again there is no reason for me to lie about the situation. I don’t have anything to gain by doing so.
