My parents were transferred to Dr Ng because their previous family physician retired during the pandemic. We never got to see Dr Ng. We never actually speak to him. All appointments/follow ups were conducted virtually or over the phone by his assistant, who was actually super nice. Last year we were informed that Dr Ng would not continue to be our family physician because he was “going to do something else”. We were told to transfer our medical records to an USB thumb, for which we had to pay a fee. After that we were left in a limbo and tried very hard to find a new dr to no avail. During this time my father actually had quite a few medical emergencies and had to be followed up by a dr in a walk in clinic. A few days ago, Dr Ng’s office called us and asked us to do a blood test because both my parents A1C were borderline high. We are so confused. Does dr Ng still see his patients? Is he still our family doctor and is responsible for my parents medical care? What is going on?
